Busy Bust Busy!

I’ll start off by saying that I am kinda excited about the feedback that I have been getting about my site. I haven’t sent out a new blog for over a week and people were letting me know about it! Things have been crazy so time is always an issue. As I write this now, I am squeezing it in between breakfast, late night of poker and getting ready to head to work.

I spent the last weekend in Louisville, KY with my wife and daughter because she was playing in a soccer tournament. There on Friday and then home on Sunday. Not a lot of time for poker but I did manage to play in one online tourney that had 1600 people in it. I ended up going out at 257. The money started at 172. Played well but wasn’t feeling it. Up and down a lot in this one and when I tell my buddies about the finish, there reply is “Wow, not bad for that size of tournament! 257 is pretty good!”. I think they do not see it as I do. To me, it’s not about finishing at a high number. It’s not about making it into the money. To me, my goals are this: I want to make it to the final table where a larger payoff is included and of course, to win it. Covering my entry fee and making a few extra dollars is okay but that is not my goal. I know it’s going to happen so every time I play, I am one step closer.

From my earlier blogs, you know that Joel got me started playing poker because of his monthly league. The good news is that the first year came to a close and March started the first month of the new year. Point system and top two player5s get paid with a year end payoff. It’s a very nice format. There is also a side bet with the Commissioner (who won it all last year) on who will finish higher in the rankings, me or Joel. After month one, Joel placed 8th and I finished second. I’ll keep you updated on how that goes. Joel is an awesome player and that what makes this fun!

I’ll have them on my site when I get time, but last night was the introduction of the Sir Bucky logo hats. I only brought six with me and ended up giving them all out and other guys who didn’t get them wanted them so I will be bringing one for the remaining guys to have next month. I am sure a few of the new guys think I am crazy, and I like them thinking that!

I added Sir Bucky hats to the site to sell! Here are a few pics of the guys wearing them!
